Thanks to Michael Marschall, Marschall Group who will be sponsoring the dinner and his staff for supporting us to get local businesses together to attend.
There are more dinners planned throughout the year so if you are keen for us to come to your region, contact Lisa to have a conversation. As always, I am available for a conversation anytime on 0418 736 802. Gary |

The Albanese Government will require super to be paid on payday, a reform that will benefit the retirement incomes of millions of Australians. From 1 July 2026, employers will be required to pay their employees’ super at the same time as their salary and wages. This simple change will strengthen Australia’s superannuation system and help deliver a more dignified retirement to more Australian workers.
By switching to payday super, a 25-year-old median income earner currently receiving their super quarterly and wages fortnightly could be around $6,000 or 1.5 per cent better off at retirement. More frequent super payments will make employers’ payroll management smoother with fewer liabilities building up on their books. Payday super will also make it easier for employees to keep track of their payments, and harder for them to be exploited by disreputable employers.
The change will particularly benefit those in lower paid, casual and insecure work who are more likely to miss out when super is paid less frequently. Women are overrepresented in this group. While most employers do the right thing, the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) estimates $3.4 billion worth of super went unpaid in 2019–20.

What's New in Telematics - TMA & OBM Info BTS23 |
|
|
Recent changes by Australia’s road agencies are changing the way we think about telematics, and the broader public value which can be derived from the sharing of data in a transparent, structured and standardised way.
To de-mystify the complexity and the opportunities telematics present, TCA is collaborating with HVIA to present a series of informative sessions at the Brisbane Truck Show called "What's New in Telematics?", where you can learn about the latest changes around heavy vehicle telematics and mass monitoring requirements and talk about the use of the Telematics Monitoring Application (TMA) and Smart On-Board Mass (OBM) and how, when combined, they can provide road managers with new ways of understanding the use of road networks to better inform forward planning and investment.
Venue: Room P3-5, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (Brisbane Truck Show) Date and time: Thursday 18 May, 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm (in-person and online) Friday 19 May, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm (in-person) Saturday 20 May, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm (in-person) REGISTER HERE |
