impact analysis, the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has determined that<strong> 24 tonne loading is now allowable under the Higher Mass Limits Scheme in Queensland. This is specific to Performance Based Standards (PBS) approved combinations, with quad axle trailers fitted with super single tyres that have a minimum 375mm section width.<br /></strong><br />This outcome enables loading beyond the current maximum allowable limit of 21 tonnes.<br /><br /> Transport operators may now apply for this new mass limit for existing, or new, PBS combinations through the <a href="https://app4.vision6.com.au/ch/84280/2f2pn/2217868/gLrw2fTNEOa78bJYbC3gOlqsCMT3giN0b8tmd8HX.html" style="text-decoration: underline; color: #0711d2;">National Heavy Regulator Portal</a>.<br /><br />Please be advised, the Truck Industry Council also have a research project underway to review heavy vehicle tyre pavement impacts from a National perspective.</p><p style="margin:0;text-align:justify;font-size:13px;mso-line-height-alt:18px"> </p><p style="margin:0;text-align:justify;font-size:13px;mso-line-height-alt:19.5px">We are continuously monitoring, assessing and reviewing our roads, bridges and culverts across Queensland.
