TMR Heavy Vehicle Unit have provided the following information.
From 1am AEST Monday 13 December 2021, Queensland’s border restrictions will ease further, following Queensland achieving 80% of the eligible population fully vaccinated.
Freight and logistics operators
The Queensland Freight Protocol continues to apply to all freight and logistics operators entering Queensland from another state or territory in Australia, regardless of whether a hotspot has been declared.
Restrictions before 1am AEST Wednesday 15 December 2021
The Queensland Freight Protocol will remain in place in it's current form.
Restrictions after 1am AEST Wednesday 15 December 2021
An updated Queensland Freight protocol will commence.
From 1am Wednesday 15 December, theses are the changed requirements for fully vaccinated freight and logistics operators:
- Stay at home requirements will be removed.
- The restrictions on leaving the vehicle for an essential purpose will be removed.
- Record-keeping of proximate contacts will only be required when on-duty in Queensland in connection with a freight and logistics activity.
Retained requirements
Freight and logistics operators must be able to provide the following items at border checkpoints to enter Queensland from any other state or territory in Australia, regardless of whether a hotspot has been declared:
- a valid F Pass (Freight and Logistics)
- evidence of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result within 7 days prior to entering Queensland.
A continual rolling 7-day testing regime (using a PCR test only) must be maintained while travelling in and out of Queensland.
Please be advised, delays may be expected at border checkpoints as Queensland’s border restrictions ease further. While there won't be a dedicated freight lane, queueing will be monitored and congestion managed. Please have your F Pass and evidence of your negative test result and COVID-19 full vaccination available.
Department of Transport and Main Roads will provide further advice prior to 1am AEST Wednesday 15 December 2021.
