NSW: Closure of the Illawarra Highway at Macquarie Pass

The Illawarra Highway at Macquarie Pass will closed in both directions between 9am and 3pm from Tuesday 18 February to Thursday 20 February, weather permitting.

The closure will be in place between Tourist Road, Robertson and Yellow Rock Road, Tullimbar.

A detour for heavy vehicles will be in place via the Hume Highway, Picton Road and the M1 Princes Motorway which will add an additional 20 minutes to journey times.

Operators of Class 1, 2 & 3 vehicles travelling under a Permit must not travel off the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the NHVR.
