SEQ: Tregony | Cunningham Highway | Cunninghams Gap nightly single stop/slow conditions

On the Cunningham Highway at Cunninghams Gap, nightly stop/slow traffic conditions will be in place for bulk excavation works. 

From 6pm until 6am the following day, stop/slow traffic conditions will occur from:

  • Sunday 23 February until Friday 28 February 2025 and 
  • Sunday 2 March until Friday 7 March 2025.

 Maximum Oversize Overmass (OSOM) vehicle dimensions permitted to pass through the site:

  • Max. vehicle width: 4.5m (ground contact)
  • Max. load width: 7.5m (load must clear 1.2m above ground)
  • Max. length: 60m (including block trucks)

A reduced speed limit of 40km/hr will be in place with traffic control onsite for the safety of road users and work crews.

Operating conditions

During these periods alternative routes should be planned accordingly. 

Planning ahead 

  • Operators planning to travel through the site during this period must contact the project team via email (traffic.cunninghamsgap@mcilwain.com), 5 business days prior to the planned travel date.
  • Operators must contact the Site Supervisor, Craig on 0404 489 987, 2 hours prior to arrival on-site on the night of travel.
  • Operators must contact the project's traffic control on UHF CH40 when approaching the site and stop and hold in designated OSOM holding bays until released by traffic control.
