Road Conditions Update-Royston-D'Aguilar Highway, either side of the Mary Smokes Creek Road intersection

TMR advise that design is complete, and construction will soon start for safety improvements on the D'Aguilar Highway, either side of the Mary Smokes Creek Road intersection, Royston.

The project is being undertaken to reduce the risk of serious crashes caused by run-off-road and head-on collisions on approximately one kilometre of the D’Aguilar Highway. Works will feature wide centre line treatments, audio tactile linemarking, wide sealed shoulders, extended guardrails for roadside hazard mitigation and road resurfacing.

The project will improve safety for road users on either side of the Mary Smokes Creek Road intersection, however no intersection upgrades will be undertaken as part of these works.

Construction is expected to start late May 2024 and be completed by early 2025, weather and conditions permitting.
