Road Conditions Update-NSW-OSOM Load on Hume Hwy-Albury to Central Coast 6-13/5/24

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions from Wednesday 6 May to Monday 13 May on the Hume Highway between Albury and Colongra due to an Oversized and Overmass (OSOM) load carrying a large power transformer.

Due to the size and scale of the OSOM load (approx 5.8 metres wide, 125 metres long and 477 tonnes), it will be travelling at reduced speeds. While there will be opportunities to pass the OSOM load under supervision, there will be delays. Please plan your journey in advance. Motorists are urged to slow down and exercise caution when approaching or passing the OSOM load, which will be travelling under escort. 

The OSOM load, will be travelling on the Hume Highway between Albury and Sydney and on the M1 Pacific Motorway between Sydney and Colongra on the Central Coast at the following times and locations:  

·         Wednesday 8 May – From Albury to Coolac, along the Hume Highway, between 10pm and 5:30am (Thursday).

·         Thursday 9 May – From Coolac to Goulburn, along the Hume Highway, between 10pm and 4:30am (Friday).

·         Friday 10 May – From Goulburn to Campbelltown along the Hume Highway between 10pm and 5am (Saturday).

·         Saturday 11 May – From Campbelltown to Mooney Mooney along the Hume Motorway/M7/M2/M1 between 11pm and 4:30am (Sunday). 

·         Monday 13 May – From Mooney Mooney to Colongra along the M1 Pacific Motorway between 12am and 4:30am.
