Road Conditions - Childers | Bruce Highway Churchill Street | Temporary closure for Childers Festival, 28 July 2024

Advice from Transport and Main Roads, Heavy Vehicles Unit

From 5am to 8pm Sunday 28 July 2024 the Bruce Highway (Churchill Street) between Isis Highway intersection and Taylor Street intersection at Childers will be temporarily closed to all vehicles for the 2024 Childers Festival.

Detours
Vehicles not exceeding 3m wide and 26m long can access the detours.

Northbound via Taylor Street, Thompson Street, Broadhurst Street and Bruce Highway
Southbound via Broadhurst Street, Macrossan Street, Stewart Street and Bruce Highway.

Vehicles exceeding 3m wide and 26m long are prohibited from the detour and must find an alternate heavy vehicle route or delay travel.
