NSW: Temporary reduced load limit for heavy vehicles on Paytens Bridge south-west of Eugowra

Source: Transport for NSW (1.04.2025)

From midnight Monday 31 March, there is a temporary reduced heavy vehicle load limit on Paytens Bridge, 11 kilometres south-west of Eugowra for up to six months until a bridge strengthening structure can be installed.

A routine inspection revealed damage to one of the bridge’s timber trusses requiring a temporary reduction in the load limit from 42.5 tonnes to 23 tonnes.

All vehicles over 23 tonnes travelling between Eugowra and Lachlan Valley Way will not be able to use Paytens Bridge Road and will need to detour via Casuarina Drive to Gooloogong. This will add about 40 kilometres and 30 minutes to journeys.

Detour route for vehicles over 23 tonnes
