NSW: New Dates - Changed Traffic conditions on Maitland Road at Hexham

From Thursday 10 April, the right-hand turn lane into the U-turn facility north of Hexham Station will be permanently closed when travelling inbound on Maitland Road.

Heavy vehicles travelling inbound will continue three kilometres south to the Sparke Street U-turn facility or alternatively turn left into Old Maitland Road to use the Old Punt Road under police escort.

Oversize Overmass required to contraflow over the northbound Hexham Bridge will be able to U-turn at the intersection of Maitland and Old Maitland Roads under police escort. 

OSOM operators are advised the project operates on UHF channel 45.

Major work on the Hexham Straight Widening project will be carried out from 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday. Out of hours work times from 7pm to 7am Sunday to Thursday and Saturday between 8am and 1pm.
