FNQ: Spear Creek bridge, Mulligan Highway, 15 May 2025

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will be carrying out bridge inspections at Spear Creek bridge on the Mulligan Highway.
The inspections are part of TMR’s regular bridge maintenance program to ensure the continued safety and reliability of bridges on the state-controlled road network.
The works will require intermittent full bridge closures on Thursday 15 May 2025, weather and construction conditions permitting. The closures will be at the following times:
Closed 7:00am – 7:30am
Open 7:30am – 8:00am
Closed 8:00am – 8:30am
Open 8:30am – 9:00am
Closed 9:00am – 9:30am
Open 9:30am – 10:00am
Closed 10:00am – 10:30am
Open 10:30am – 11:00am
Closed 11:00am – 11:30am
Open 11:30am – 12:00pm
Closed 12:00pm – 12:30pm
Open 12:30pm – 1:00pm
Closed 1:00pm – 1:30pm
Open 1:30pm – 2:00pm
Closed 2:00pm – 2:30pm
Open 2:30pm – 3:30pm
Closed 3:30pm – 4:00pm
Open 4:00pm – 4:30pm
Closed 4:30pm – 5:00pm
Open 5:00pm onwards
Work crews will ensure emergency service vehicles are provided with access if required.
Variable Message Signs (VMS) will be in place on the approaches to the work site to ensure motorists are aware of the changed traffic conditions. Changes in dates due to poor weather will be posted on the VMS.
