Special Transporter E-News, Issue 34 - Increased axle loads in Qld for PBS quad axle trailers fitted with super single tyres

Further to completion of a pavement impact analysis, the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has determined that 24 tonne loading is now allowable under the Higher Mass Limits Scheme in Queensland. This is specific to Performance Based Standards (PBS) approved combinations, with quad axle trailers fitted with super single tyres that have a minimum 375mm section width.
