Transporter E-News, Issue 36, 9/7/2021

This week we have had a number of queries from members about the use of the Qld Government Check in App.   

In addition to the hospitality sector, from 9 July 2021 the Check In Qld app will be mandatory for a number of new sectors, including shopping centres and supermarkets, beauty and personal care services and venues that attract large crowds.  The app is mandatory for business on the restricted list only.  For the full list, check the Restrictions on Business, Activities and Undertakings Direction.

Although transport and logisitics businesses are not on the restricted business list at this stage, we do encourage you to diligently follow the process you have in place to manage the record of visitors and general public who visit your workplace.  Some businesses have taken the extra precaution of having the Qld Government QR code checkin available as well.  We trust that you will make the best decision for your business and continue to follow your COVID-19 Safe Business Plans. 

As the situation in NSW continues to develop, we will ensure that we keep you up-to-date with any new restrictions that are put into place in the coming days.  Please continue to encourage drivers to follow the recommendation to have regular COVID testing every seven days if travelling in and out of hotspots.  It is also highly recommended to get your drivers to regularly check the list of NSW exposure venues as the list continues to grow.  Anyone, including Transport and Logistics workers must not enter Queensland if they have been at a venue on the exposure list as they will be directed to quarantine.  Keep up to date with Queensland COVID updates here.

Border Declaration F Pass - if entering from a declared hotspot
Qld Travel Declaration - if entering from anywhere else.
