SWQ: Warrego Highway - Morven | Road access changes
Source: Department of Transport and Main Roads - Heavy Vehicles Unit (24.02.2025)
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) advises from 1 March to 1 August 2025, rehabilitation works will commence at the Morven Heavy Vehicle Rest Area and Morven Roadhouse, on the Warrego Highway, east of Morven.
There will be no disruption to access fuel bowsers and customer access to the roadhouse will also be maintained.
During this period the Heavy Vehicle rest area will be closed or have reduced parking availability due to the changed traffic conditions.
To help minimise disruptions, there will be detours, traffic control measures and speed restrictions in place.
The department encourages all heavy vehicle operators to slow down, drive with caution, follow the instructions from traffic controllers, and observe all signage. Please allow for up to an additional 15 minutes of travel time.
TMR appreciates your patience and understanding during these essential works.
