Speakers announced for QTA IWD Breakfast Events

A cracking line up for this years IWD events in Brisbane and Townsville. We are  fortunate to have suchtalented women in our industry and we are featuring two amazing women again this year.

Annastasia Denigan who is currently working as the HSEQ Manager at QUBE Bulk, has a long list of achievements in her career so far and always strives to broaden her knowledge to gain more experience and expand her professional knowledge. Annastasia is an experienced transport WHS and compliance specialist who has much to share about her journey through the ranks and what it takes to get where you want to go. Annastasia will be speaking at both our Brisbane and Townsville events. Annastasia is the current QTA Trucking Woman of the Year.

Who knew we had an four time Olympian and medalist working within our sector! Tanya Harding is an institution in Australian softball. Tanya was a professional softball athlete and has played in four Olympics from 1996 when women's softball was first admitted as an Olympic sport. Tanya was selected in the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Olympic team and won a medal at each Games. In her role at Transurban, Tanya leads the Emergency Management team, where her experience as an elite athlete has provided her with the foundational skills required to exceed in a male dominated industry. 

We are pleased to have the current Executive Officer of the Northern Territory Road Transport Association (NTRTA), Louise Bilato speaking along side Annastasia at our Townsville breakfast event.  Louise wears many hats and in addition to her role at the NTRTA, Louise is a registered psychologist and manages the compliance for her family transport business. In addition to her role at the NTRTA, her career has been dedicated to improving health and social outcomes by reducing the burden of occupational illness and injury on individuals. Louise assists businesses to improve performance across operational, people and culture, policy and strategic directions to develop genuine safety cultures. Louise is a passionate advocate for the road freight industry and works tirelessly to advocate for road freight operators in the NT.

 

The QTA IWD event was established in 2012 and is the original and leading event for women in transport and logistics. If you haven't attended before, get a table together with some friends and colleagues to hear from these inspiring women. A couple of hours out of the office catching up with colleagues and friends while also raising money for charity is time well spent.
