On the Mount Lindesay Highway, approximately 1.2 kilometres north of Collins Gap, stop/slow conditions with a reduced lane will be in place 24 hours a day from Monday, 17 February 2025 continuing until late March 2025 to continue road restoration works.
Works will predominantly be undertaken on weekdays between 6.30am to 5.30pm, however the lane closure will be in place for the duration of the works.
A reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place with traffic control for the safety of road users and work crews.
Expect minor delays and allow extra travel time.
Weather and site conditions can impact works, delaying start and finish schedules.
The recovery works are jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA). Resilience works on Mount Lindesay Highway are part of the 2021–22 Betterment Program to build back better and improve the resilience of the road network. The extraordinary disaster assistance is also being provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State DRFA.
