Toowoomba Bypass | Gore Highway | Road access changes 2-6/4/24

Update from TMR Heavy Vehicle Unit 22/3/24

From Tuesday 2 April to Saturday 6 April 2024, there will be width restrictions for oversize loads travelling on the Toowoomba Bypass due to asphalt repair works.
 
Restrictions
On Tuesday 2 April until Friday 5 April oversize loads will be restricted to a maximum of 3 metres from the Gore Highway to the Warrego Highway west interchange at Charlton. The restriction applies from 7pm – 5am each night, finishing 5am Saturday morning 6 April.

Please note oversize loads that exceed 3 metres will not be able to travel through the roadworks. 

Detour
On Tuesday 2 April from 7pm until 5am on Wednesday 3 April all eastbound traffic from the Gore Highway to Toowoomba Cecil Plains Road will be detoured through Toowoomba.

Detour signage will be in place for the approved detour Toowoomba Athol Road (including Anzac Avenue), Tor Street, Taylor Street, Carrington Road, Toowoomba Cecil Plains Road as displayed below.
