FNQ-Peninsula Development Rd-Bridge Maintenance 10-25/1/24
TMR will be commencing bridge works on several bridges as part of regular bridge maintenance program to ensure the continued safety and reliability of bridges on the state-controlled road network.
Crews will be on site from 10 to 25 January 2024 between 7am to 5pm, weather and construction conditions permitting. Works will progress from site to site as required - see below.
The bridges are on the Peninsula Developmental Road, Mulligan Highway, Shiptons Flat and Topaz Roads in the following locations:
- Hann River Bridge and Overflow: 10 to 12 January
- Malanda Creek Bridge: 15 to 16 January
- McLeod River Bridge: 17 to 18 and 21 January
- Kennedy, North Kennedy River, and Little Laura River Bridges: 18 to 25 January
- Mungumby Creek and Wallaby Creek Bridges: 23 to 25 January
Crews will be on site from 10 to 25 January 2024 between 7am to 5pm, weather and construction conditions permitting. Works will progress from site to site as required.
For the safety of road users and maintenance crews changed traffic conditions will apply including speed reductions, single lane closures and intermittent full bridge closures of up to 30 minutes.
Work crews will ensure Emergency Services are provided with access if required.
Variable Message Signs (VMS) will be in place on the approaches to the work site to ensure motorists are aware of the changed traffic conditions.
