Road Conditions Update-FNQ-Innisfail-Inspections & Maintenance-Vic Sivyer Bridge 16-18/4/24

TMR is about to start bridge inspections and maintenance on Vic Sivyer Bridge, South Johnstone Road, Innisfail. This is part of TMR’s regular bridge maintenance program to ensure the continued safety and reliability of bridges on the state-controlled road network.

The works will require intermittent full bridge closures from Tuesday 16 to Thursday 18 April 2024, weather and construction conditions permitting. Crews will be on site from 7am to 5pm. The closures will be at the following times:

• Closed   9.00am – 12noon
• Open     12noon – 1.00pm
• Closed   1.00pm – 3.00pm
• Open onwards from 3.00pm

Work crews will ensure emergency services are provided with access if required.

Variable Message Signs are in place in key locations that will allow motorists ample opportunity to take an alternate route.
