Road Conditions SWQ: Reseal Preparation Works, South West District (Aug-Oct 2024)

The Department of Transport and Main Roads, in preparation for our Eastern Reseal Program, will be commencing work to repair damaged and rough sections of the below roads from 19 August 2024, weather and conditions permitting.

• Warrego Highway (Miles - Roma), between 55.83km to 56km (west of Jackson) and 115.78km to 116.04km (east of Wallumbilla).
• Balonne Highway (St George - Bollon), between 98.78km to 112.6km (east of Bollon).
• Balonne Highway (Bollon - Cunnamulla), between 3km to 8.3km and 22.6km to 22.7km (west of Bollon).
• Carnarvon Highway (Surat - Roma), between 33.27km to 39.52km (north of Roma - Condamine Road).
• Surat Developmental Road (Surat - Tara), between 3.92km to 3.96km, 6.28km to 19.07km and 30.13km to 33.67km (west of Glenmorgan).
• Roma - Condamine Road, between 54.15km to 60.3km (near Warkon Road).

Works will be undertaken during daylight hours (6am to 6pm) up to five days a week and are expected to be completed in late October 2024, weather and conditions permitting.

We will try to minimise traffic delays as much as possible by using single lane closures, speed restrictions and traffic control. Motorists should slow down, drive carefully, and follow the instructions of traffic controllers and construction signage and allow up to an additional 15 minutes for their journey.

Works may restrict wide-load vehicle access and permit holders should check the TMR Conditions of Operation Database before travelling
