Road Conditions NSW: Temporary road closures, Sydney Marathon (15/09/24)

The following road closures will be in place on Sunday 15 September (due to the Sydney Marathon):
1. Between 4am and 10am, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Cahill Expressway and Western Distributor will be closed in both directions. Harris Street at Pyrmont will be closed from 4am to 8.30am.
The Sydney Harbour Tunnel will remain open but is not to be used by Oversize Overmass vehicles or vehicles carrying dangerous goods.
2. Between 4am and 2pm, CBD road closures include:
- College Street
- Park Street (from 5am)
- Oxford Street - from College Street to Darlinghurst Road
- Flinders Street - from Oxford Street to Moore Park Road.
Due to the Park Street closure, there will be no east/west crossover available in the city’s north.
The Cross City Tunnel remains open for vehicles travelling east and west across the course however is not to be used by Oversize Overmass vehicles or vehicles carrying dangerous goods.
3. Between 4am and 3pm, Macquarie Street from the Sydney Opera House to Hyde Park will be closed.
4. Between 5am and 12pm, Anzac Parade will be closed from Moore Park to Kingsford.
Detour routes
From 4am to 10am:
- B-Doubles should use Pennant Hills Road, James Ruse Drive, the M4, Centenary Drive, Roberts Road, Kings Georges Road and the M5.
- Dangerous Goods and Oversize Overmass vehicles should use Princes Hwy instead of the M5.
From 4am to 3pm:
Vehicles should use Gardeners Road to travel between the city east and south east.
