Road Conditions North Coast: Bruce Highway resurfacing, southbound near Nambour

Source: TMR North Coast Region

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TR) will commence resurfacing works on approximately nine kilometres of the Bruce Highway, southbound, in mid-August 2024, weather and construction scheduling permitting.

These works form part of a package of resurfacing and rehabilitation which includes Cooroy Connection Road, Cooroy.  Investigations associated with the Cooroy works will start concurrently, while the main resurfacing will begin when works on the Bruce Highway conclude.

The Bruce Highway resurfacing works will cover an area stretching from just north of the Parklands interchange to just south of the Kiel Mountain Road overpass, including resurfacing and pavement rehabilitation to the northbound and southbound on and off-ramps at Bli Bli interchange. These works will be undertaken at night between 6pm and 6am, requiring one lane to be closed. Weekend works and works during the day may be required.

Please see the attached project flyer for location and further information.

Detours will be required for short periods during works at the Bli Bli interchange. These will be signed with Variable Message Boards (VMS) before and during the works.

Motorists are urged to check 13 19 40 or Queensland Traffic (qldtraffic.qld.gov.au) for updates.

If you require additional information regarding the works, please contact TMR's project team on 5451 7055 or email northcoast@tmr.qld.gov.au.
