Road Conditions: Flinders Highway - Warrigal Creek Bridge technical inspections
Information from Department of Transport and Main Roads
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) would like to advise that technical investigations will take place on the Warrigal Creek Bridge approximately 125km west of Charters Towers, from Tuesday 24 October to Thursday 2 November 2023.
The bridge will be under traffic control between the hours of 6am and 6pm daily to ensure the safety of motorists while assessment works can be undertaken to the bridge deck and bridge piers.
Works will take place: Tuesday 24 October to Thursday 2 November 2023 Between 6am and 6pm All work is subject to construction progress and weather conditions.
Traffic impacts during the works:
- Delays of up to 15 minutes can be expected.
- E-stop traffic lights will be used on each side of the bridge.
- Traffic control will be on site during the works.
- A speed of 20km/hr is now required to cross the bridge at all times.
- Motorists are advised to plan their travel in advance at QLDTraffic
