The QTA also has several other service agreements with other sectors in the transport industry.
Carlie Porteous, General Manager of AFCA, said, "The AFCA Board has recently approved a significant partnership between AFCA and the Queensland Trucking Association (QTA). This collaboration will bring forth a range of valuable services and resources, aimed at benefiting our members particularly in the areas of Human Resources (HR) and Industrial Relations (IR)."
CEO Gary Mahon said, "We are pleased to be able to offer services to AFCA's members, many of whom have sizable fleets that service the plantation, timber and forestry sector. We are well placed to support businesses around Australia with our tailored services and personalised engagement model."
The extension of services to the forestry contractors sector provides a level of security that gives them confidence to have expertise to call upon when needed to ensure they can manage their workforces in compliant manner, as well as having professional support to manage complex employment and industrial relations issues.
