NSW Road Conditions: Changed traffic conditions on Newell Highway north of Coonabarabran

Please be advised of changed traffic conditions at various locations along the Newell Highway between Coonabarabran and Narrabri.

Heavy patching will continue for about 3 weeks (weather permitting), about 20 kilometres north of Coonabarabran. This work includes lane closures, alternating stop/slow and reduced speed limits. Work hours are:

• Monday to Friday, 7am - 6pm
• Saturdays, 7am - 1pm

From Tuesday 16 May, traffic will be switched at Dandry, about 30 kilometres north of Coonabarabran. There will be intermittent periods of stoppage to traffic and reduced lane widths of 3.2m for 4 days (weather permitting) on a two-week rotating roster as below:

• Week 1: Tuesday to Saturday 7am to 6pm, Sunday 8am to 6pm
• Week 2: Monday to Thursday 7am to 6pm, no work from Friday to Monday

Please delay your journey or expect ongoing delays of up to 10min when travelling between Coonabarabran and Narrabri.
