Election Issue-Ministers Announced, Issue 62, 01/06/2020

The Hon. Catherine King MP has been appointed as the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government. We look forward to working with Minister King on the major issues that confronting the road freight industry addressed in our Four the Future of Road Freight Election Blueprint.

Throughout her parliamentary service which commenced in 2001, Ms King has served as the Member for Ballara, Victoria. Among her many Parliamentary appointments are: Parliamentary Secretary for Infrastructure and Transport, Minister for Road Safety and Minister for Regional Australia between 2010 - 2013 and more recently from 2019, has been the Shadow Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development.

Senator Carol Brown has been appointed as Assistant Minister for Infrastructure and Transport.

We also welcome the four Queensland MP's who have also been appointed:

- Hon. Jim Chalmers, Treasurer

- Senator Anthony Chisholm, Assistant Minister for Education, Assistant Minister for Regional Development

- Senator Murray Watt, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Minister for Emergency Management

- Anika Wells MP, Minister for Aged Care, Minister for Sport
