Carnarvon Highway (Injune - Rolleston) Widening

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) will be continuing work to widen various sections of the Carnarvon Highway (Injune - Rolleston) between 46.14km to 50.5km north of Injune from 7 September 2022.

While in the area, TMR has identified an opportunity to undertake some additional works including batter flattening and sealing of an additional 1km section from 50.5km to 51.43.

The work will be undertaken during daylight hours up to 10 days a fortnight and are expected to be completed in early December 2022, weather and conditions permitting.

We will try to minimise traffic delays as much as possible by using single lane closures, traffic control and speed restrictions. Motorists should slow down, drive carefully and follow the instructions of traffic controllers and construction signage and allow up to an additional 15 minutes, at each site, for their journey.

Works may restrict wide-load vehicle access and permit holders should check the TMR Conditions of Operation Database before travelling.
