2023 QTA NQ Women in Transport & Logistics Breakfast - Townsville

QTA's North Queensland 'Women in Transport and Logistics’ Breakfast event recognises the significant contribution that women make to the road freight transport, logistics and supply chain industry. 

This year's event will be held on Wednesday 2 August 2023 from 7:00am to 9:30am at Mercure Townsville (Ballroom).

Guest speakers include QTA's 2022 Trucking Woman of the Year - Melira Lister, Qube.

Currently working for QUBE Bulk, Melira has made her mark in the heavy transport sector after starting out working in the permits area in 2010 after exiting the RAAF. This led to her finding her real passion for working in the specialised heavy lift and oversize overmass area.

Over the past 12 years, Melira has worked on major projects and displays strong skills in negotiation, problem solving and advocacy to achieve workable outcomes for clients. Melira has been awarded professional learning scholarships and takes every opportunity to improve her knowledge and qualifications.

Melira is an inspiring person and a strong advocate for women in the transport industry. Anyone who knows Melira can attest to her drive, ambition, and love for challenging work.

This event is a great networking opportunity and is open to women and men and attracts in excess of 100 industry representatives including operators, their employees, manufacturers and suppliers.

Cancellation policy:  Please note, refunds are not available for cancellations received within 7 days of the event date, unless otherwise authorised.  Requests for cancellations must be in writing and emailed to admin@qta.com.au.  In the event of any COVID-19 related impacts within the region and should the QTA be forced to postpone the event, all tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date.  Should you be unable to attend the new date, you will be able to receive a full refund by submitting your request by email to admin@qta.com.au.
